Farming Practices
Benefits & Approach:
A well-planned fodder system will boost the nutrition of the animals by providing them with more protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals which will be of course better milk, faster weight gain, and strong immunity to diseases as a result. Not only that, it also provides a reliable and uninterrupted supply of feed all year round, even in the dry season. At Vinod Ranch, the whole process of fodder growing is very well organized by selecting the right grasses and legumes that suit the climate, planting them at the right times, and managing their growth by good care and frequent harvesting so that high-quality feed is always available.
Zero Grazing
Growing fodder in a dedicated garden and cutting it for animals, preventing overgrazing.
Silage & Hay
Preserving fodder by drying (hay) or fermenting (silage) for long-term storage.
Multispecies Systems
Planting mixtures of grasses, legumes, and herbs enhances resilience and yield, especially against climate change.
