Today, Vinod Ranch is a modern agribusiness, and animal husbandry company with diversified operations across the India.

Chicken & Egg

Vinod Ranch is a place where 100% pure organic Country chicken is bred and produced in a natural manner.

Siruvidai is one of the varieties of chicken. They are regarded as the indigenous breed of Tamil Nadu and southern India. In certain regions these birds are called ‘Kuruvukozhi’ while in others they are identified as ‘Sithukozhi’.

Male Siruvidais might weigh up to two kilograms maximum while female Siruvidais are a little lighter with a weight of one and a half kilograms maximum. Hens lay 10-14 eggs during a period called clutch. They are recognized for their hatching rate as well as their skill to offer protection against predator birds. The breeders talk of Siruvidai chickens as having very definite maternal instincts. Siruvidai eggs have a weight of 35-40 grams on an average and are classified as highly nutritious and healthy for kids.

Chickens at our place enjoy a large area, with the temperature being controlled, and they can drink and eat as much as they want.

Goat

Vinod Ranch is an advanced farm that mainly concentrates on the production of premium goat products. The health, comfort, and well-being of our goats are our main concerns. Furthermore, our quality-oriented approach results in the manufacture of excellent goat meat, milk, cheese, and other consumables that the customers can safely enjoy.

Our farm advocates the use of eco-friendly farming methods, and we plan to let everyone experience the farm-to-table process of goat products. Vinod Ranch in Dodaballapur, Bangalore, has the vast expanse of 100 acres of lush and beautiful countryside to its east, along with the most modern technologies that ensure the goats get an organic and healthy upbringing. We can already claim to be the largest goat farm in South India scientifically supported and becoming a role model not only for the Indian goat industry but also the world over.

Currently, Vinod Ranch boasts more than 1,000 goats comprising Sojat, Beetle, Kota, Saanen, Alpine, Black Bengal, and African boar breeds. The target is to raise the goat population to 10,000 by 2030.

Cow Milk

Milk straight from our farm is produced by us and delivered every morning fresh. It is free from preservatives and additives. With each sip you can feel the freshness. Organic fodder is grown at the farm so that the cows eat the best and the most nutritious food. They can move freely, drink fresh water, and get medical treatment. They are never given growth hormones!

As every step of the process of milk production is under our supervision we have the power to produce real good milk. Each aspect is taken care of with great attention, starting from the healthiest breed of cows, the right mix of organic fodder, regular supervision of cow’s health and comfort, milking hygiene, making sure that sheds and barns are of the highest standards, and finally giving safe delivery of the cow’s wholesome milk directly from our farm.

Kangeyum Bull Breeding

Vinod Ranch is not just a breeding but also a conservation center that other cattle breeds would get to benefit from. The Indian halftone breed not only the cow per se but also its unique milking system along with the Korangadu, which is a Kurois pastoral land and farming system, will be made aware of more intensively. The Kangayam breed along with the Korangadu, a unique ecosystem consisting of cattle and agriculture in Kongu region, Tamilnadu are closely related and thus their protection from the threats is very critical. Apart from that, Vinod Ranch also plays a role in the conservation of the bio-cultural values and the distinctness surrounding the native animal species and their traditional knowledge.

Vinod Ranch is the one and only ranch in Karnataka and is the largest in India which is capable of breeding these indigenous breeds.

Animal Fodder Production

Farming for animal pasture, also called fodder farming, is a process of planting and harvesting certain grasses and legumes (e.g., Napier, Brachiaria, or alfalfa) with high yield to provide nutritious food for animals, thus enhancing milk, meat, and health of animals.

Further, such farming is often supplemented with methods such as zero-grazing, silage, or haymaking to provide constant supply throughout the year and improve traditional grazing. Most grasses will be Super Napier, Red Napier, and Chloris gyana due to their rapid growth and high protein/fiber content and will be propagated by vegetative propagation (cuttings) or seeds, with multispecies mixtures being very sturdy and productive.
